The San Diego LGBT Community Center enhances and sustains the health & well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transgender, nonbinary, immigrant, and HIV communities to the betterment of our entire San Diego region. Functioning as the San Diego LGBTQ community’s anchor organization, The Center provides targeted programs and services to the full diversity of the San Diego LGBT community, including men, women, youth, seniors, transgender and non-binary individuals, families, LGBTQ Latino/a/x community members, and their families, and those living with HIV.
The Center provides direct program services to the many different facets of the LGBT community, including men, women, youth, seniors, families, LGBT Latino community members and their families, and those struggling with HIV. Open daily, the Center provides a wide variety of LGBTQIA+ programs and services including crisis counseling, individual and couple counseling, facilitated coming-out groups, and over a dozen LGBTQIA+ peer support and rap groups each week.
The San Diego History Center, a Smithsonian Affiliate, seeks to engage audiences of all ages in connecting the past to the present and setting the stage for where our community is headed in the future. San Diego Pride raises funds primarily through festival ticket and beverage sales, and through sponsorships, and exhibitor fees.
The organization was founded as the San Diego Historical Society in and today is the place where San Diego visitors and residents can discover, discuss, and determine why history matters for our region today.
